Juan and Delia Ramirez named their restaurant after their two daughters. Juan’s brother Dimas and their father assist with the cooking. Maria, Juan’s mother, is often the hostess who greets guests at the door. Juan grew up in the restaurant business – his parents are former restaurateurs themselves. In every way this family restaurant exemplifies their motto – come as strangers, leave as family.
Isabel and Annabel’s is located on Marion Avenue between F.M. Don’s and Leroy’s. They specialize in fresh, made-to-order authentic Mexican food and have earned a large and loyal following of fans.
Every morning Juan posts a Bible scripture on his erasable board. We’re working with partners to provide Isabel and Annabel’s with a beautiful new custom-branded erasable board to replace the existing one.
Today’s choice of scripture is particularly appropriate for this community project. Peter is saying that we should perceive whatever abilities, talents, skills or things we have received as an opportunity to serve others.
Just as three small business owners are collaborating to provide Isabel and Annabel’s Mexican Restaurant with a bigger, custom-branded erasable board, the restaurant is offering these same small business owners a prominent display and exposure to their patrons. Scripture in action!
